10:35 am - Pricing your photography
Hi all,
I was asked to shot a family portriate session and now I am in deep poopie here with what I should charge.
You see there is a woman I know who's work is so-so and she gets 750 dollars for 250 shots put in a book.
Mind you she still use black and white film. I shot digital. So I figure it takes about 2 to 2 an a half hours to shoot that many images. And I figure. 360 dollars for 250 images in a gallery box isn't too bad. Plus I would give them the option of ordering things like calanders and stuff.
What do you all think?

I have to wonder when we stop worrying about others in our life and worry alittle about ourselves? When do we put some time aside for the things we want to do with our lives?
I think everyday we should put aside a few minutes for the things we dream of doing. If you want to dance, learn a new step each day. If you want to write, write a page a day.
It doesn't matter what you want to do, just that you talke the time to do it.

OK,
I just want to know why the people in my life seem to have no faith in me? I mean sure I have a lot of hair brained schemes and the like. But I have been nothing but serious about my writing for well over a year now. At first I used to do it just for fun. A poem here a fanfiction there, even a little short story now and again. But when I get serious the only person behind me is my grandpa.
I can't even get my husband to want to read my work. Or if he does I get stupid comments from him. Like... Is this the finished draft? To which I say no and then he says well just let me read it when its done. WTF???? Are you for real?
Is it just me or does anyone else out there care about what is going on in their loved ones life? I know that if there was anything in this world that drove my husband to be an achiver I would be interested in it, even if I didn't find it interesting. I mean I would try for him. Isn't that what you do when you love someone?
OK, rant about suckieness over.....

I now have $100 put away for my BJD. OMG!!! I can't wait.
You see when I quite my old job for health reasons I had to sell my $600 doll. She was ABJD, made of the most beautiful resin and just breath taking. Well I have been working steady for over a year now and I have gotten a raise and everything. So I am saving for her again.

ok,
So I have spent 12 hours in the last 3 days editing photos for my portfolio. I have to show a woman some of my work so that I can get the ok for a gallery. *SIGH*
I had been so busy that I forgot a deadline for a contest I wanted to enter. So today I ran to the post office and sent the damn disc out prioity. Has to me there by the 15th post man said it will get there by monday tuesday at the latest.
Now I am thinking of entering another photo contest. The theme is spring. So off to flickr I go for insperation. Then maybe a trip to the botinical gardens. What do you all think?
